My career has followed the path of increasing responsibility from Analyst to AVP, VP, Team Leader to Managing Director. I have moved around, primarily on the client coverage side of the business, from a geographical focus to industry specializations first in financial institutions, then to the retailing industry in the Investment Bank and four years ago leading the mid-corporate banking team, specializing in the apparel industry and midcap retailing sectors.

Make a good impression

First impressions really do count. That’s why you want to attend our campus events and meet our representatives prepared, dressed appropriately and with the best resume possible.

Research our organization

Our website contains extensive information about our lines of business and possible roles within each one. Carefully read through these to determine which programs appeal to you.

Prepare a strong resume...early

Prepare your résumé well ahead of any interview. By doing this, you can provide us with your material before we visit your campus, better enabling us to consider your best fit in our organization.

Dress for success

Dress as though you were representing our firm to one of our clients. We want to see you at your best.

Balance your selling points

You want to make a positive, lasting impression with our interviewers; and your résumé and subsequent interview must clearly communicate why you are a contender for any desired position. Keep in mind that influencing skills are important in almost every job at JPMorgan Chase; and we will be looking at how well you use them during your interview.

Remember the basics

Include your name, address, telephone number with area code and e-mail on your resume. We expect to see your educational background (major, secondary field, GPA, special credits and honors), your career objectives and all prior work experience. Finally, list any extracurricular activities, such as volunteer work, published articles, committees and club participation.

Be a good listener

Listening is a critical and an often underestimated skill. Listen carefully to both spoken and unspoken cues from your interviewer. Let them lead you to questions you might not have intially considered. Remember, both you and your interviewer are trying to determine if you and the orgainzation are well matched.
