The Summer Analyst Program in Finance is a leadership development program that exposes you to financial roles in virtually every aspect of JP Morgan Chase’s business. Over 10 weeks, you gain experience in areas such as treasury, planning & analysis, financial control, and internal and external financial reporting.
The Finance division of JPMorgan Chase:
Summer analysts are offered the opportunity to spend 10 weeks working as an integral member of a business team in one of three concentration areas: General Finance, Corporate Controllers, and Global Finance Operations.
You will work closely with experienced professionals, enjoy a diverse work environment, and have the chance to make real contributions to business results. This is an ideal way to meet the people who make our company a success, to experience our unique culture, and to learn about full-time opportunities within the firm. Finance professionals are at the core of virtually every aspect of our business. If you are a rising junior or senior in college, our 10-week summer analyst program offers you a chance to acquire practical skills and knowledge from top professionals.
During the summer, you can expect to prepare financial spreadsheets, budgets and forecasts; analyze and report product and project profitability and return on investment; make recommendations and presentations to managers; and assist in financial operations.
We will provide you with junior and senior mentors to discuss your career strategies and provide advice. Through the Senior Speaker Series, you learn from members of JPMorgan Chase’s senior management team about corporate strategic challenges.
Qualifications
We seek candidates who have excellent analytical skills, a focus on results, the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas, and creative problem solving abilities. Qualified candidates must also demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, effective teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly assess problems and find workable solutions.
Preferred majors include Finance, Accounting, and MIS/CIS; however all majors are considered. Generally, you must possess a GPA of 3.2 or above.
