Program overview

The Analysts within the Operations & Business Services Analyst Development Program execute business operations and processes, solve business problems and support business infrastructure for our internal clients. The Program’s clients consist of the major lines of business (LOBs) and core functional groups within JPMorgan Chase, including, Investment Bank (IB), Asset Management (AM), Treasury & Securities Services (TSS) and our Corporate Groups. Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting trading and settlement activities
• Research, documentation and reporting
• Supporting large and small scale projects
• Providing P&L and reconciliation support
• Analyzing processes and recommending efficiency improvements
• Processing transactions and assessing risks
• Identifying control procedures

Tracks

Based on Analysts’ career goals and business needs, Analysts will be part of either the Direct Line of Business Track or the Cross Line of Business Track of the Operations & Business Services Analyst Development Program.  Track availability depends on location and business need.

Direct Line of Business Track

Analysts will gain in-depth, focused knowledge about a specific line of business, product or process through hands-on experience within the LOB’s different business units and functional groups.  Because of the deep subject matter expertise Analysts will develop, their career paths will align with that particular line of business.

Cross Line of Business Track

Analysts will have the opportunity to perform a variety of short to medium term assignments and develop a broad set of skills by rotating across the major LOBs and corporate groups.  Because of the diverse subject matter expertise Analysts will develop, their career paths will align with opportunities across the various LOBs.

Qualifications

• A BS/BA degree, preferably a business or engineering degree
• Preferred GPA of 3.5
• Interest in building a career within the business operations & support areas of a major financial services institution
• Highly motivated, results-oriented, client -focused
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, & relationship management skills
• Ability to synthesize information to reach logical conclusions; manage projects, evaluate & improve processes & present findings
• Outstanding verbal & written communication skills
• Demonstrated quantitative & qualitative analytical skills
• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Access
• High degree of initiative, self direction, and ability to work independently as well within a team
• Ability to multi-task & work in a fast-paced environment
• Resourceful thinking
• Eligibility to work permanently in the U.S.
