Program Overview

If you are eager to be on an accelerated, fast-track to leadership opportunities within an industry that touches customers in their daily lives, Card Services may very well be the perfect place to launch your career. Our training programs have been meticulously designed to provide talented new graduates in-depth exposure to one of the following four specialized fields within our line of business:

• Finance
• Marketing
• Analytics
• Technology

Ongoing training will take place during the first 12 months, and it will covert topics such as: project management; diversity in the workplace; and leadership, business negotiation, and presentation skills. You’ll also participate in team-building workshops, develop a mentor relationship, and attend numerous networking events, as well attend our monthly “Day in the Life” program, where top-tier financial leaders share the daily challenges and rewards of a career in this industry.

Card Services - Full-Time Associates: Finance, Marketing, Analytics, and Technology

Assignments

Regardless of the area you choose to begin your unique career path, you will be provided with everything you need to advance to the next level. Ongoing training will take place during the first 12 months covering topics such as: project management, workplace diversity,  leadership, business negotiation and presentation skills. You will also participate in team-building workshops and numerous networking events, as well as our “Day in the Life" in which top-tier finance and banking leaders share the daily challenges and rewards of a career in this industry.

Analytical Associates

This role focuses on giving highly talented people with strong analytical backgrounds the in-depth exposure to: strategic analysis; process reengineering; delinquency modeling; portfolio analysis; and behavior modeling and forecasting. These mission-critical assignments will be conducted across several different business areas, such as Decision Science, Customer Support Division Marketing, Risk, and Information Management.

Finance Associate

These specialized analysts focus their efforts – as will you – on modeling, forecasting and analyzing portfolio dynamics such as Business Planning, Forecasting & Analysis; Investment Decisioning; Expense Analysis; Earnings & Planning; and Profitability

Technology

This rotational program is designed to expose you to different areas of Technology as well as all our lines of businesses. If you chose this as your starting point, you will be challenged and duly rewarded by participating in three consecutive six-month assignments in one of the following categories: Technical/Infrastructure; Technical/Software and Managerial/Process.

Marketing Associate

Responsibilities in this area may include developing and testing new marketing materials, working with other departments to structure and analyze new products and initiatives; develop collateral materials; create and refine marketing concepts through quantitative/qualitative market research; assist with cardmember communications and develop strategy recommendations.

Qualifications

A GPA of 3.2+ is required for these programs, however, each area demands unique skill sets, knowledge and educational backgrounds. Qualifications for each area are as follows:

• BS/BA degree in Engineering (Industrial or Electrical), Operations Research, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance or any specialized curriculum with a technical or analytical focus
• Exceptional technical, analytical, and written/verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to process vast amounts of data into meaningful information
• Strong communication, project management skills and the ability to work independently
• Evidence of leadership, initiative and teamwork skills 
• Strong work ethic.

Financial Associates

• BS/BA degree in Economics, Finance, or any specialized curriculum that is financially based
• Strong project management skills
• Leadership and team-building traits

Technology

• BS/BA degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or MIS
• Strong leadership, project management and team-building skills
• Willingness to take initiative

Marketing Associate

• BS/BA degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or Economics
• Superior written/verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work both independently and within a team
