Retail Financial Services (RFS) is a key contributor to the JPMorgan Chase product platform and helps meet the financial needs of consumers and small businesses. Through the Chase brand, we provide convenient consumer banking products and services through the nation’s third largest branch franchise and second-largest ATM network. We are the third-largest home equity originator and second-largest mortgage originator, the third-largest mortgage servicer and the largest non-captive originator of automobile loans.
As the Retail Financial Services organization continues to grow its branches and sales force, it will provide an ideal opportunity for you to gain a broad understanding of the financial services industry from the consumer’s point of view. As a member of our team, you’ll participate in a wide range of learning experiences and take the first steps toward building a dynamic career at JPMorgan Chase.
The program goal is to attract and develop graduating seniors with leadership potential and a strong desire to contribute to the performance of our business. Those who are chosen for this program will have the opportunity to stand out as leaders and future managers.
Analysts will be assigned to a minimum of four meaningful rotations in our Finance, Operations/Customer Service, Marketing/Product and Sales Support and Risk Management areas. Throughout the program, you can expect to enhance your analytical, general management and leadership skills, gain exposure to core operations, interact with senior management and receive frequent developmental feedback.
If you are eager to be a part of a fast-paced energetic team and are focused on developing leadership and general management skills, Retail Financial Services could be the perfect place for you to begin your career at JPMorgan Chase.
Throughout the program, analysts will attend various training sessions designed to facilitate professional development, enhance critical thinking and problem skill sets and increase your knowledge and understanding of the firm. Learning opportunities can take many shapes and forms - whether through formal classes, on-the-job training or tapping colleagues' experience. Training will supplement practical on-the-job experience and will be tailored to your background and rotational assignment.
Each analyst will be assigned a mentor who will help you navigate through the organization and will provide you guidance as you embark on your career. In addition, analysts will be assigned a peer advisor to aid in a smooth transition into the organization.
The RFS Analyst Development Program is an intensive 2-year rotational program that is focused on developing a leadership pipeline for the RFS businesses through diverse work assignments and exposure to senior leaders. Given the small size of our program, our analysts quickly become integrated into the Line of Business and are encouraged to exercise their strong quantitative and technical skills in their day-to-day responsibilities. Within a rotation, you will work directly with managers and officers who rely on the fresh perspective of incoming analysts.
As a part of an open, entrepreneurial work place, you may be working on the development of a new marketing or product launch, or analyzing/evaluating initiatives to determine profitability, all of which are critical to our future growth. You will also quickly develop an understanding of the importance of the consumer businesses to the rest of JPMorgan Chase.
Within RFS, there are many career options to consider upon completion of the program. To ensure that your next steps are in the right direction, your rotation managers, mentor and other experienced professionals will help you assess the projects and areas best suited to your interests and the business skills you've developed. Final placements are based upon business needs, the analyst's preferences and feedback throughout the interview process, and may require relocation.
The RFS Analyst Development Program recruits 8-10 analysts annually. Please look on our upcoming calendar of events under "Find Campus Events" to see if we will be visiting your school, or contact your career center for additional information.
