The Commercial Banking Summer Analyst Program is a 10 week internship designed to develop and utilize financial and analytical skills while helping an intern sharpen his or her professional and business skills. Summer analysts will work with other professionals as a team, drawing from the full spectrum of the firm's resources to develop customized financial solutions to meet client needs. Responsibilities of a summer analyst may include underwriting (focused on credit and financial analysis), researching industries and markets, supporting the Banker and Underwriter, and gaining client exposure.
The program offers opportunities in one of the following four Commercial Banking businesses: Middle Market Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Business Credit and Equipment Leasing.
The Mid-Corporate Banking group is part of the Commercial Bank at JPMorgan Chase and focuses on U.S. companies nationwide with $500+ million in sales, which require traditional banking services and a full array of investment banking products. To best address our clients' needs, we offer both regionally based corporate banking groups as well as industry focused teams.
The Mid-Corporate Banking Summer Analyst Program is a 10 week internship offering exceptional opportunities to play an integral role supporting client managers in developing financial solutions for our national client base. Summer analysts in Mid-Corporate Banking support the bankers who are primarily focused on structuring loan facilities, selling Commercial Banking products, and offering clients core banking services, treasury services and annuity products on a continuous basis.
Orientation and training will introduce you to JPMorgan's products and services, clients and business practices. Learning side by side with other summer analysts, you will network with peers from around the country. Specific segments of the program focus on core skills such as financial modeling, valuation analytics and risk analysis. You will develop an appreciation for the firm's culture and its strategy as a result of interactions with senior executives during training.
Upon completion of orientation and training, you will begin working in your assigned group and immediately become an integral member of a deal team. You will work with professionals across the business as you assist bankers in developing client relationships and structuring complex financial transactions. Responsibilities of a summer analyst may include pitch book preparation in tandem with our product partners, industry research, financial analysis, financial modeling, comparable analysis, credit analysis, identifying key risks, et cetera. We encourage initiative and provide you with ongoing opportunities throughout the internship.
These 2 internship opportunities are designed for students entering their senior year of college. This program offers summer interns an unparalleled chance to develop financial skills and gain exposure to the Commercial Banking and Mid-Corporate Banking businesses. As an integral member of the team, you will have challenging responsibilities, receive ongoing feedback and have formal performance reviews throughout the summer.
As a summer intern, you will be given opportunities to network with other interns, work colleagues and senior managers. At the close of the summer program, you will have the opportunity to apply for a full-time opportunity in up to two training programs offered by the firm.
