Corporate Audit

In today's business climate, a strong Audit function is essential for maintaining shareholder confidence and sound operating environments. The JPMorgan Chase Audit Department exceeds this goal by being a superior provider of risk assessment services. We are well respected in the industry and within our firm for our thorough analysis and fair evaluation of the firm's processes.

We partner with management to improve the practices used to identify, evaluate, control, and monitor business risks. As internal consultants, we evaluate business, accounting and technology processes in every line of business and corporate function. We focus on results and leverage technology to identify issues, deliver creative solutions, and drive resolution through partnership and collaboration.

If so, our Audit Internship Program just might be ideal for you. Over a ten-week period, you’ll gain priceless insight into our risk management processes while performing targeted risk assessments. You’ll further develop other essential professional skills by contributing to a team, presenting findings to management, and collaborating with experienced professionals. You’ll find the learning curve is rapid because you’ll:

• Seek to understand our stakeholders’ businesses, operating strategies & critical processes
• Identify & analyze the risks inherent in our stakeholders’ businesses
• Evaluate existing risk management controls
• Test controls by reviewing documentation, meeting with management to discuss the business processes & observing general business operations
• Identify issues & collaborate with management to determine cost-effective solutions for improving their control environment

Training

Your internship at JPMorgan Chase begins with three days of training in New York City that includes an overview of our firm, our business practices, and our culture.  Ongoing training is provided throughout this program, by way of weekly executive management lunch and learns.  These lunches along with the initial training will allow you to see the entire firm and show you that JPMorgan Chase is where you want to begin your career.

Opportunities

As an Audit Program Intern you will join one of our line of business audit teams such as the Investment Bank, Asset Management, Retail, Credit Card Services, Commercial Bank, and Treasury & Securities Services. Or you may join one of our corporate sector audit teams that include: Corporate Planning and Analysis; Corporate Treasury; Corporate Finance Operations; Corporate Real Estate; and Central Technology.

Upon completing our ten week program, you'll have a better insight into our department and the firm as a whole.  Additionally, if you’d like to obtain your CPA, initial placement within Audit provides licensure-qualifying experience.

Qualifications

Only results-oriented candidates who are able to clearly articulate complex ideas will be considered. Other requirements include:

• A BS/BA degree preferably in Finance, Accounting and/or MIS/CIS
• (all business majors, however, are welcome to apply)
• A GPA of 3.2+
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal communication skills
• The proven ability to quickly assess problems and find effective solutions
• A team-spirited attitude and a keen attention to detail
